The Nigerian Queen 2021 Abimbola Abayomi, 25, of Lagos, Nigeria will crown her successor at the EUI Centre in Port Harcourt, Nigeria on August 20, 2022. It is the 14th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Nigeria’s Miss Grand International and Miss Eco International candidates.

Currently, Nigeria has one Miss Grand International placement and two Miss Eco International placements. Representing the African country, Omoye Blessing Akhigbe finished in the Top 21 at Miss Eco International 2018.

Representing Lagos, Abayomi was crowned The Nigerian Queen 2021 at the Aztech Arcum Event Center in Port Harcourt on August 21, 2021. Her runner-up Joy Uyo Omanibe of Adamawa was crowned Miss Eco Nigeria 2021 while Patience Chenema Christopher of Kogi was second runner-up.

Abayomi was not able to represent Nigeria at Miss Grand International 2021 in Phuket, Thailand on December 4, 2021 so she was replaced by Christopher, who finished in the Top 22. On March 17, 2022, Omanibe represented the African country at Miss Eco International 2021 in Cairo, Egypt and finished in the Top 10.

There are 40 women competing for the two crowns at stake at The Nigerian Queen 2022. After checking their profiles, photos and videos, I picked the candidates who I believe will make it to the Top 5:

  • Esther Christopher (Bauchi)
  • Ebika Oluohu (Cross-River G)
  • Chidinma Obasi (Ebonyi)
  • Damilola Bolarinde (Lagos)
  • Mary-Joe Inyamigim (Plateau)

.

Among these five candidates, I believe these will be the three winners:
