Miss Grand Malaysia 2021 Lishalliny Kanaran, 25, of Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia will crown her successor at Sipadan Hall of the Sabah International Convention Centre in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia on August 27, 2022 as part of the HyperLive Festival Malaysia 2022. It will be the seventh edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Malaysia’s Miss Grand International candidate.

Currently, Malaysia has three Miss Grand International placements. Representing the Southeast Asian country, Ranmeet Jassal of Selangor finished in the Top 21 in 2016 and Jasebel Robert of Kuala Lumpur finished in the Top 10 in 2020.

Amid the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Kanaran was crowned Miss Grand Malaysia 2021 on August 1, 2021. Representing Malaysia, she finished in the Top 20 at Miss Grand International 2021 at the SHOW DC Retail and Entertainment Mega Complex Floor 6 in Bangkok, Thailand on December 4, 2021.
