Omaha, Nebraska’s Ricky Shiffer shot in Wilmington, Ohio after trying to enter FBI’s Cincinnati office

Ricky Walter Shiffer, 42, of Omaha, Nebraska, United States tried to breach the visitor screening facility of the Federal Bureau of Investigation‘s field office of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA at around 9:00 a.m. on August 11, 2022. He was wearing a gray shirt and body armor and carrying an assault rifle.

Shiffer also lived in Florida, USA. He was a big fan of Donald Trump Sr., 76, the 45th U.S. president and the social media platform Truth Social founder.

“Well, I thought I had a way through bullet proof glass, and I didn’t,” Shiffer wrote on Truth Social at 9:29 a.m. “If you don’t hear from me, it is true I tried attacking the F.B.I., and it’ll mean either I was taken off the internet, the F.B.I. got me, or they sent the regular cops while.”

FBI agents and Ohio state troopers chased Shiffer onto the highway when he fled the office. He abandoned his car by a cornfield by Smith and Center Road in Wilmington, Ohio just off of Interstate 71 and exchanged gunfire with the officers.

At around 3:00 p.m., the construction electrician raised a gun towards the officers and was fatally shot. The officers were not injured.

On January 5, 2021, Shiffer attended a rally for Trump in Washington, D.C., USA. On January 6, 2021, the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. was breached by 45th U.S. president’s supporters.

On April 26, 2022, Schiffer took to Twitter to write to Donald Trump Jr., 44. The former wrote, “I’m just waiting for your Dad. I opened my account (first ever) at 12:25 today.”

“I know they are trying 1984, but I’m feeling 2016 vibes,” Marjorie Taylor Greene, 48, wrote on Twitter on May 7, 2022. Shiffer replied to the post saying, “Congresswoman Greene, they got away with fixing elections in plain sight. It’s over. The next step is the one we used in 1775.”

Donald Sr. bought Mar-a-Lago, a resort and national historic landmark in Palm Beach, Florida, in 1985, used the mansion as a residence for eight years and converted it into the Mar-a-Lago Club. On August 8, 2022, FBI agents raided the club, which earned the ire of his supporters.
