1. In August 2005, he, Anthony Marou Martinez, Oscar Cash Gonzales and Brandon Michael Reeve were involved in a theft ring. That month, Martinez allegedly beat Shanan Lynn Read with a metal baton in his apartment in Seattle, Washington. He and Gonzales allegedly helped Martinez put Read’s body into a container, drove the container to his family’s cabin in Port Orchard, Washington and doused her body with lye and other chemicals to hasten its decomposition.
2. In January 2006, Michael Thomasan allegedly helped him push the container containing Read’s body into the Puget Sound in Kitsap County, Washington.
3. In 2008, he became a person of interest in the death of Read.
4. From September 2013 to July 2014, he worked for WestWater Research as a research associate.
5. From July 2014 to May 2018, he was a Purdue University fellow. He won the International Food and Agribusiness Management Association (IFAMA) case study competition in Cape Town, South Africa in 2014 and finished second in the IFAMA case study competition in Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA in 2015.
6. On May 16, 2015, he and Christina Duchek registered for their wedding in Boise.
7. He, Marcos Fava Neves and Allan Wayne Gray co-wrote “Copersucar: A world leader in sugar and ethanol”, an article published in January 2016.
8. He and Gray co-wrote “King’s Hawaiian: Managing the supply of aloha spirit for every household, every day”, an article published in February 2018. From May 2018 to September 2020, he worked for Ernst & Young‘s global strategy consulting arm EY-Parthenon as a director and a manager.
9. He and Steven Y. Wu co-wrote “An Analysis of Beverage Size Restrictions”, an article published in January 2019.
10. From October 2020 to June 2021, he was an EY-Parthenon senior director.
11. In June 2021, he joined Verdant Robotics, Inc. as the vice president of strategy and finance.
12. He, Gray, Gemma Berenguer and Paul Preckel co-wrote “Raw material variability in food manufacturing: a data-driven snack food industry case”, an article published in June 2022.
13. He was 39 years old when he was arrested on August 8, 2022 in Philadelphia for his role in Read’s murder. He was being held without bail to await extradition to Washington where he is expected to face first-degree murder charges.
