Henry Fredrick “Hose” Wise II was a native of Michigan, United States. He died 13 days after being burned during a failed stunt at Myrtle Beach Speedway on U.S. Route 501 near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, USA.

After the fatal accident, Wise’s sister sued the company that hired him. According to the lawsuit, he had no flame retardant suit while driving a vehicle bought from a scrap yard, which stalled and was engulfed in flames before he could escape.

Wise was married twice. He was 15 years older than Stacey Lyn Chahorski of Norton Shores, Muskegon County, Michigan.

  7. He allegedly sexually assaulted and fatally strangled Chahorski, who was reported missing on January 17, 1989. Her body was found on December 16, 1988 but was not identified until March 2022.
  8. In 1991, he and Wendy Barnes Dexheimer got married.
  9. On October 6, 1998, he turned 43.
  10. On May 13, 1999, he was burned in a stunt car accident at Myrtle Beach Speedway.
  11. On May 26, 1999, he died.
  12. On December 23, 2002, Dexheimer died at age 53. On February 16, 2017, his first wife Kathryn Ellen Sodomka Lanier died in Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina at age 61.
  13. On June 13, 2022, Othram Inc. found that the deoxyribonucleic acid of Chahorski’s killer matched him.
