Directed by Kevin Peeples, “Lifemark” features Raphael Ruggero as David Colton with Kirk Cameron and Rebecca Rogers Nelson as Colton’s adoptive parents Jimmy Colton and Susan Colton. Written by Peeples, Alex Kendrick and Stephen Kendrick, the film is about the true story of the adoption of David, which was depicted in Philip Braun‘s 2018 documentary film “I Lived on Parker Avenue“.
In real life, David turned 28 on December 22, 2021. He is Brian Nicholas and Melissa Coles‘ biological son.
Before giving birth to David, Coles visited an abortion clinic on Parker Avenue in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA to terminate her pregnancy but she changed her mind at the last minute. David was one day old when he was adopted by Jimmy and Susan, who are residents of Metairie, Louisiana, USA.
