The Miss Universe Italy 2022 coronation night will be held at the Lo Smeraldo Ricevimenti di Lusso in Puglia, Italy on September 18, 2022. It is the 16th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Italy’s Miss Universe candidate.

Currently, Italy has 16 Miss Universe placements including the first runner-up finishes of Daniela Bianchi in 1960 and Robert Capua in 1987. The most recent one was in 2014 when Valentina Bonariva finished in the Top 15.

Representing Lazio, Caterina Di Fuccia was 23 years old when she was crowned Miss Universe Italy 2021 on September 26, 2021 at Fiera di Roma in Rome, Italy. Benedetta Casciano of Sardinia and Lea Skaka of Friuli Venezia Giulia were the respective first and second runners-up.
