BRAVE Combat Federation fighter Rolando Gabriel “Dy Incredible” Dy, 31, trains at his own gym DyIncredible Fighting and Fitness Center in Dasmariñas, Cavite, Philippines. He is set to fight Olzhas “Kypshak” Eskaraev, 31, of Kyzylorda, Kazakhstan at “BRAVE CF 62“.
Two weeks before the fight, Dy drove five hours from his place and trained at Team Lakay in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines. The team is home to some former BRAVE CF fighters including Stephen Loman, Jeremy Pacatiw and Jon Chris Corton.
“They are the best team not only in the Philippines but in the world,” Dy said of Team Lakay fighters. He added that he realized the Team Lakay fighters are among the best mixed martial artists in the world when they competed against former Ultimate Fighting Championship fighters in ONE Championship.
Dy himself is a former UFC fighter. He currently has an exclusive contract with BRAVE CF.
After spending a week with Team Lakay, Dy went back to Dasmariñas and finished his training camp at his own gym with his teammates. Here is how he described his experience training with Team Lakay fighters:
“BRAVE CF 62” and “Octagon 35” will be held simultaneously at the Baluan Sholak Sports Palace in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 30, 2022. The lightweight bout between Dy and Eskaraev is the co-main event of the evening.
Both Dy and Eskaraev lost once to the BRAVE CF Interim Lightweight Champion Abdisalam Kubanychbek, 28, of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The Kyrgyz MMA fighter has been undefeated in BRAVE CF since his promotional debut in 2019.
Dy made his BRAVE CF debut in 2017, fought in the UFC from 2017 to 2018 and went back to BRAVE CF in 2019. “BRAVE CF 62” marks his ninth BRAVE CF fight.
