Olzhas “Kypshak” Eskaraev (Олжас Ескараев), 31, of Kyzylorda, Kazakhstan was one of the winners at “BRAVE CF 62“. It was the Kazakh mixed martial artist’s second victory in BRAVE Combat Federation, which is based in Bahrain.
In association with Octagon League, BRAVE CF held “BRAVE CF 62” at the Baluan Sholak Sports Palace in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 30, 2022 simultaneously with “Octagon 35.” In the co-main event of the evening, Eskaraev fought Rolando “The Incredible” Dy, 31, of Dasmariñas, Cavite, Philippines in the lightweight division.
Referee Dec Larkin stopped the fight after 3 minutes and 40 seconds in the second round. Eskaraev knocked out Dy via ground and pound.
After the fight, Dy announced his retirement inside the cage. Eskaraev was the ninth opponent the Filipino MMA fighter faced in BRAVE CF.
Before Dy’s announcement, Eskaraev called out BRAVE CF Interim Lightweight Champion Abdisalam Kubanychbek, 28, of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. On June 18, 2022, the Kyrgyz champion defeated the Kazakh MMA fighter via unanimous decision at “BRAVE CF 59” in Bukhara, Uzbekistan.
Knocking out Dy improved Eskaraev’s professional MMA record to 11 wins and 6 losses. The Kazakhs MMA fighter now has 2 wins and 1 loss in BRAVE CF.
A total of eight countries were represented at “BRAVE CF 62” namely Bahrain, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, the Philippines, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan. Dy solely represented the Philippines while the host country was represented by four fighters including Eskaraev.
On August 21, 2021, Eskaraev made his BRAVE CF debut at “BRAVE CF 53” in Almaty. He submitted Lucas “Mineiro” Martins, 33, of Sao Paolo, Brazil via rear-naked choke.
