Anaheim, California cops arrest Richard Hirschl; Tustin man accused of assaulting 2 teens

Richard Hirschl, 66, of Tustin, Orange County, California, United States previously lived in Melrose, Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, USA. Aside from Tustin, he has lived in other parts of California including Anaheim and Corona.

Hirschl owns the Hirschl School of Dance Arts on North Tustin Avenue in Anaheim. The studio opened in April 1972.


Between 2012 and 2017, Hirschl allegedly assaulted two teenagers. At the time of the assault, the victims were between 11 and 13 years old.

At least one of the attacks allegedly happened at the the Hirschl School of Dance Arts. On November 3, 2022, Hirschl was charged with four felony counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor younger than 14.


On November 4, 2022, Hirschl was arrested by Anaheim Police Department officers and was booked into the Anaheim City Jail on South Harbor Boulevard in Anaheim. On the same day, he posted $100,000 bail and was released.

On December 21, 2022, Hirschl will be arraigned at the North Justice Center in Fullerton, Orange County. If convicted, he faces up to 14 years in prison.
