Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James returns before 2022 FIFA World Cup ends?

Held in Qatar, the 2022 FIFA World Cup started on November 20, 2022. Before the tournament ends on December 18, 2022, National Basketball Association fans can expect Los Angeles Lakers small forward LeBron James, 37, to return to the court.

On August 18, 2022, James re-signed with the Los Angeles Lakers on a two-year, $97.1 million deal. On November 9, 2022, the team lost to the Los Angeles Clippers 114-101.

After scoring 30 points, James left the court with pain in his left leg. Since then, he has been dealing with a left adductor strain.

On November 22, 2022, the Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Phoenix Suns 115-105 at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. It marked the fifth game James missed since his recent groin injury.

During the broadcast of the game, NBA insider Chris Haynes revealed the date of James’ returned. The reporter said, “LeBron James is missing his fifth straight game with that groin strain, but I’m told that will be the extent because league sources informed me that LeBron will make his return Friday in San Antonio.”

During James’ absence, his spot was taken by Austin Reaves, 24, in the starting lineup. With James, the Los Angeles Lakers will take on the San Antonio Spurs at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas, USA in a back-to-back on November 25, 2022 and on November 26, 2022.
