Philippines’ Ruel Pañales vs India’s Mohammad Farhad at ‘BRAVE CF 66’ in Bali, Indonesia

Ruel “Bagsik” Pañales, 25, of Placer, Masbate, Philippines will make his BRAVE Combat Federation debut at “BRAVE CF 66“. The Filipino mixed martial artist will put his undefeated professional MMA record on the line.

Pañales trains at DyIncredible Fighting and Fitness Center in Dasmariñas, Cavite, Philippines under the tutelage of retired MMA fighter “Dy Incredible” Rolando Dy, 31, of the Philippines. The latter competed in BRAVE CF from April 22, 2017 to September 30, 2022 and in the Ultimate Fighting Championship from June 17, 2017 to June 23, 2018.

Featuring 10 bouts, “BRAVE CF 66” will be held at Politeknik Pariwisata in Bali, Indonesia on November 26, 2022. In the fifth bout of the evening, Pañales will fight “Sher-e-Hind” Mohammed Farhad, 33, of Mumbai, India in the bantamweight division.

According to Dy, Pañales is a natural flyweight. Still, the coach is confident that his protégé can beat Farhad as a bantamweight.

While Pañales is making his BRAVE CF debut at “BRAVE CF 66”, Farhad has been competing in the Bahrain-based MMA promotion since 2019. The Indian MMA fighter holds a professional MMA record of 12 wins and 4 losses while his Filipino opponent has 4 wins and 0 loss.

Including Pañales, there are three Filipino MMA fighters on the “BRAVE CF 66” card. The others are his teammate Kenneth “Smooth” Maningat, 29, and “The Demolition Man” Jenel Lausa, 34.

Both Dy and Lausa are former Ultimate Fighting Championship fighters. Here are Dy’s thoughts about Pañales’s upcoming fight against Farhad:
