Fargo, North Dakota’s Sebastian Tackling accused of corruption of a minor

Sebastian Michael Tackling, 43, of Fargo, North Dakota, United States earned his bachelor’s degree in instrumental music education from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, USA. He earned his master’s degree in music from North Dakota State University in Fargo.

Tackling has lived in different parts of Minnesota including Northfield, Duluth, Saint Paul, St. Cloud and St. Louis Park. He currently works as a band teacher at Fargo South High School in Fargo.


Tackling was arrested after being accused of corruption of a minor. Authorities have yet to release details of the alleged offense.

On November 26, 2022, Tackling was booked into the Cass County Jail in Fargo. He has yet to be formally charged.


On November 28, 2022, Tackling will appear in Cass County District Court in Fargo where a judge will set a bail amount. He remains in custody at the Cass County Jail.

Fargo Public Schools administrators have announced that they fully cooperate with law enforcement as they conduct their investigation. Tackling will placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.


Founded in 1871, Fargo is the county seat of Cass County. Musicians “Dakota” Dave Hull, 72, Jonny Lang, and Shannon Curfman, 37, were all born in the city.

Fargo and Moorhead, Clay County, Minnesota are twin cities. The two cities are 1.06 miles apart. Dr. Timothy Mahoney, 73, is Fargo’s 35th and incumbent mayor.
