Brendan Loughnane, 32, of Manchester, England is the featherweight champion of the Professional Fighters League in the 2022 season. He now holds a professional mixed martial arts record of 25 wins and 4 losses.
Featuring 11 professional MMA bouts and one amateur MMA bout, “PFL 10: 2022 Championships” was held at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York, United States on November 25, 2022. In the co-main event of the evening, Loughnane and Bubba “I’m a Bad Man” Jenkins, 34, of Corona, California, USA competed for the 2022 PFL Featherweight Championship title.
In the fourth round, Loughnane landed a big right hand right down the pipe and knocked Jenkins down. As Jenkins tried to recover, he was followed to the ground by Loughnane, who poured on the damage with ground and pound.
Referee Bryan Miner stopped the title bout after 2 minutes and 38 seconds in the fourth round. He raised the hand of the fighter from Manchester, who was declared the winner via technical knockout via punches.
Jenkins now has 19 wins and 6 losses. He competed in Bellator MMA from 2013 to 2016 and in BRAVE Combat Federation from 2018 to 2019 and made his PFL debut in 2021.
As the 2022 PFL Featherweight Champion, Loughnane received $1 million. He has been competing in the PFL since 2019.
Including England and the U.S., a total of 10 countries were represented at “PFL 10: 2022 Championships”. The others are Australia, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, Russia, Scotland, Senegal and Sweden.

Raised in Fallowfield, Manchester, Loughnane enjoyed playing football when he was young. He later went to university to study mechanical engineering.
In 2005, a neighbor introduced Loughnane to MMA. He made his professional MMA debut in 2010, won in “Dana White’s Contender Series” Season 3 episode 1 on June 18, 2019 and made his PFL debut on October 11, 2019.
