From June 2018 to July 2019, she devised and intended to devise a scheme to defraud individuals and to obtain money and property by means of materially false and fraudulent pretenses, representations and promises. On June 25, 2018, she received a payment processed through PayPal outside Louisiana.

While employed by Amtrak as an onboard services train attendant, she recruited more than 40 individuals to buy spots on a group round-trip Amtrak travel from New Orleans to New York City, New York, USA and vice versa from June 21-22, 2019. She had not booked any Amtrak travel or services for the trip but received $23,000 to $26,000 payments from the victims. She falsely claimed that the trip was cancelled because a passenger booked for the trip attacked an Amtrak employee and issued a bomb threat.
  8. On December 21, 2021, she was charged with two counts of wire fraud.
  9. On February 23, 2022, she pleaded guilty to two counts of wire fraud.
  10. She was 48 years old when U.S. District Judge Sarah S. Vance ordered her on January 5, 2023 to serve concurrent terms of six months of incarceration for each of the two wire count charges to which she previously pleaded guilty and two years of supervised release following her incarceration.
