Alissa Parraz, 16, of Goshen, Tulare County, California, United States gave birth to Nycholas Nolan Parraz in March 2022. She lived in a house in Goshen with her paternal relatives including Rosa Parraz, 72, Eladio Parraz Jr., 52, and Marcos Parraz, 19.
On January 3, 2023, Tulare County Sheriff’s Office deputies found shell casings outside the house while trying to conduct a parole compliance check. They asked to go inside the home but people at the house refused.
When deputies returned with a warrant, they found marijuana, methamphetamine, body armor and guns. They arrested Eladio for being a felon in possession of ammunition, firearms and a controlled substance.
Eladio had an extensive criminal record. Among his crimes were drug and firearms possession and driving recklessly to evade arrest.
On January 7, 2023, Eladio was released on bail. On January 15, 2023, he was in their house in Goshen with Alissa, Nycholas, Rosa, Marcos, a family member’s close friend Jennifer Analla, 49, and three other people.
At 3:38 a.m., authorities received a call about multiple shots being fired at the house. The caller was someone hiding at the property.
At 3:45 a.m., deputies arrived and found Eladio, Alissa, Nycholas, Rosa, Marcos and Analla dead. The six victims were all fatally shot while the three other people in the house survived the shooting by hiding.
Based on forensic evidence, a shooter stood over Alissa and Nycholas and shot both of them in the head. The teen mother was clutching her son and was running for safety.
Authorities in California are searching for at least two suspects. There is a $10,000 reward for information that could lead to their arrest.
