Michael Lunday, 55, is an attorney based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, United States. He is accused of asking a woman to arrange sex with a girl aged 5.

On March 2, 2023, the woman contacted the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office in El Reno, Canadian County, Oklahoma and reported Lunday’s request. The woman served as a confidential informant and assisted in carrying out a sting operation.

On the same day, Lunday agreed to meet the informant at a residence in Mustang, Canadian County to finalize the details before the purchase of the child for sex. Canadian County Sheriff’s Office deputies were staged inside the residence to effect the attorney’s arrest.

While inside the residence, Lunday took Viagra. He gave the informant $400, which he thought would be split between the woman and the fictitious foster parent of the fictitious child.

That was when the deputies arrested Lunday. He was transported to the Canadian County Detention Facility in El Reno.

Lunday was charged with lewd acts with a child under 12 and soliciting child prostitution. His bond was set at $200,000.

On March 3, 2023, Canadian County Sheriff’s Office deputies executed a search warrant of Lunday’s residence in Oklahoma City. They seized the attorney’s personal cell phone and laptop computers and other electronic devices.
