Josiah Timothy Roberts, 33, of Trinity, Morgan County, Alabama, United States has lived in different parts of Connecticut, USA including Ashford, Chaplin and Prospect. He was recently interviewed by Trinity Police Department investigators.

In the interview, Roberts confessed to committing sex crimes with a child. On March 13, 2023, Trinity Police Department officers arrested him.

At 9:10 p.m., Roberts was booked into the Morgan County Jail in Decatur, Morgan County. He was charged with two counts of first-degree sodomy and two counts of sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years old.

Bond for Roberts was set at $700,000. Because of the age of the victims, the Trinity Police Department did not release further information.

Trinity was incorporated as a town in 1901. It is located in the northwestern part of Morgan County.

Vaughn Goodwin is the incumbent mayor of Trinity. The town is around 7 miles away from Decatur, the county seat of Morgan County.
