Ridon Kola is an Albanian man based in Yonkers, Westchester County, New York, United States. Here are 10 more things about him:

  1. On November 19, 2021, he posted to an official Yonkers Police Department social media account a message in Albanian that translated to “I am going to slaughter you little girls.”
  2. On December 5, 2021, he posted to the YPD social media account again threatening to kill the mayor of Yonkers. He also wrote, “Starting tomorrow I will start killing your officers just so u know who is doing it, Ridon Kola Albanian blood.”
  3. On December 6, 2021, YPD detectives went to his residence in Yonkers. He admitted to making the threatening posts but claimed he had no plans to harm YPD officers or the mayor. The officers searched the residence and did not observe any weapons. He was not arrested.  
  4. In January 2023, he posted multiple statements on social media expressing support for jihad and the establishment of a caliphate.
  5. On March 6, 2023, he sent a direct message to the YPD social media account saying, “I’m looking for that officer that came to my house and threatened me and my family to kill us. I’m going to burn the world until I find him Vallahi, no matter what happens to me there will never be peace in this country anymore! Allahu Ekberr.”
  6. On March 7, 2023, he took to social media to praise Sayfullo Saipov, who was found guilty of murder on January 26, 2023 for using a rented truck to fatally strike eight people on a bike path in New York City, New York on Halloween Day in 2017.
  7. As of March 9, 2023, his social media account profile included the statement “Now is personal America and the world!!!” and a threat to burn judges, police officers and officers from the Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National Security Agency alive along with their families. On the same day, he sent two direct messages to the YPD social media account threatening to “crucify Yonkers cops and their bosses all along” McLean Avenue, which is part of the route of Yonkers’ St. Patrick’s Day parade on March 18, 2023, adding “it will be a horror scene”.
  8. On March 12, 2023, he posted to his social media feed a photo of himself holding an axe with a statement in Albanian, which translated to “Come on Judas, I’m waiting for you.”
  9. On March 17, 2023, U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul E. Davison signed a criminal complaint filed against him by FBI special agent William Slattery.
  10. He was 32 years old when he was arrested on March 17, 2023. He was charged with making threatening interstate communications.
