Stephen R. Berry, 38, of Portland, Oregon, United States previously lived in Kearney, Nebraska, USA, in Bismarck, North Dakota, USA, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA and in Vancouver, Washington, USA. Aside from Portland, he has lived in other parts of Oregon including Canby, Oregon City and Westlinn.
On March 23, 2023, the Lake Oswego Police Department in Lake Oswego, Oregon conducted a human sex trafficking mission. To conduct the operation, the department worked with the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, the Oregon City Police Department, the Milwaukie Police Department and the Sandy Police Department.
During the operation, law enforcement officers posed as decoys, who were contacted by men offering to pay money in exchange for the decoys to perform requested sexual acts. Berry, Terrance A. Schloth, 52, of Gresham, Multnomah County, Oregon and six other men were arrested after responding and meeting with the decoys.
Schloth initially gave a false name so he was charged for commercial sexual solicitation and the additional charge of giving false information to a peace officer in connection with a citation. Berry and the other six men were released after being cited for commercial sexual solicitation.
