Cynthia Broyles Peak was a native of Louisiana, United States. Here are 13 more things about her:

  1. She was born in Leesville, Vernon Parish, Louisiana to Dr. William Hilton Broyles and Nell Williams.
  2. She attended Leesville High School on Berry Drive in Leesville through her sophomore year in high school.
  3. She and her husband Chris Peak lived in Auburn, Alabama, USA before moving to Tennessee, USA. She lived in different parts of Tennessee including Brentwood, Franklin and Nashville.
  4. She worked at The Covenant School in Green Hills, Nashville as a substitute teacher.
  5. She has two sisters namely Linda Diane Broyles and Deborah Broyles Dunlap and two brothers namely Williams Hilton Broyles II and Michael O. Broyles.
  6. She was 12 years younger than Chris. They have three children together namely Andrew Peak, Ellie Peak and Matthew Peak.
  7. In 1977, she, her siblings and their parents moved from Leesville to Shreveport, Louisiana. They became members of Broadmoor Baptist Church in Shreveport.
  8. In 1979, she graduated from Captain Shreve High School in Shreveport.
  9. In 1983, she graduated from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, USA.
  10. In 2000, her mother suffered a severe stroke and was paralyzed on her left side.
  11. On May 4, 2005, her mother died in Shreveport at age 76.
  12. On March 19, 2013, her father died in Shreveport at age 88.
  13. On March 27, 2003, she and five others were fatally shot inside The Covenant School by Audrey Elizabeth Hale. She was 61.
