Ferron Marquise Williams of Ocala, Marion County, Florida, United States has died. He was 19.
On January 27, 2022, Williams was shot multiple times while sitting on the porch of a friend’s residence on Northwest Sixth Avenue in Ocala. He was there using the Wi-Fi network at the nearby Hardee’s restaurant.
After being shot, Williams ran from the house but he collapsed on a sidewalk nearby. He was rushed to Ocala Regional Medical Center on Southwest 1st Ave in Ocala where he was pronounced dead.
Williams was diagnosed with autism. He enjoyed listening to music.
On March 31, 2023, a grand jury handed up an indictment charging Geremy Doel Navarro, 20, of Florida of first-degree premeditated murder. On the same day, he was arrested.
Navarro was booked into the Marion County Jail in Ocala. He is accused of shooting Williams on January 27, 2022.
On April 1, 2023, a judge appointed the Public Defender’s Office to represent Navarro. He told the judge he plans to hire his own lawyer.
On May 2, 2023, Navarro will be back in court. He is being held without bond.
