The Miss Namibia 2023 coronation night will be held at the MTC Dome Namibia in Swakopmund, Namibia on July 8, 2023. It is the 28th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Namibia’s Miss Universe candidate.
Miss Namibia 2023 will represent Namibia at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador. The first and second runners-up will represent the African country at Miss World 2024 and Miss Earth 2023, respectively.
Currently, Namibia has two Miss Universe placements. Representing the African country, Michelle McLean won the crown in 1991 and Ndapewa Alfons finished in the Top 10 in 2003.
On August 12, 2022, Cassia Sharpley of Windhoek, Namibia was crowned Miss Namibia 2022 at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino in Windhoek. Her runner-up Leoné Renate Van Jaarsveld of Swakopmund is Miss World Namibia 2022 and the second runner-up, Diana Andimba of Windhoek, is Miss Earth Namibia 2022.
From 30 semifinalists, only 10 will be chosen to compete for the Miss Namibia 2023 crown. If facial beauty is the only criterion, these will be my Top 10 candidates:
