At 5:55 p.m., she was caught on camera inside the pizzeria berating the business’s co-owner Omar Quiñonez, complaining about the Spanish programming on a television and going on a racist rant.

Since it was Bellew’s first court appearance, Leo read her her rights. She agreed to waive the preliminary hearing.

Bail was set at $5,000 unsecured. When Leo asked Bellew for some information about her current status, she said  she had left her employment to take care of her dying father Ira Thomas Bellew Sr., 90, a Korean War veteran.

Leo instructed Rita not to visit Amy’s Family Pizzeria. She is also prohibited from having contact with Quiñonez and the other victims.

On June 7, 2023, Rita will face arraignment before the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas in Norristown, Montgomery County. Norristown is around 16 miles away from Hartboro.
