Thatikonda Aishwarya Reddy of Hyderabad, Telangana, India has died. She was 27.
Reddy’s father T Narsi Reddy is the additional district judge at the Special Court for Trial and Disposal of Commercial Disputes in Ranga Reddy, Telangana. Her father and her mother Aruna Reddy live in Saroornagar, Ranga Reddy.
In 2018, Aishwarya graduated from Osmania University in Hyderabad with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. After her graduation, she moved from India to the United States.
In 2020, Aishwarya graduated from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Washtenaw County, Michigan, USA with a master’s degree in construction management. While residing in McKinney, Collin County, Texas, USA, she worked as a project engineer with Perfect General Contractors in Frisco, Texas.
In December 2022, Aishwarya visited India to attend her elder brother Srikant Reddy‘s wedding. He is a businessman.
On the evening of May 5, 2023, Aishwarya talked to her mother on the phone. The former told the latter that she was going to the Allen Premium Outlets in Allen, Collin County with her friend Shreyash Reddy the next day.
At around 3:30 p.m. on May 6, 2023, Aishwarya and Shreyash were shopping at the Allen Premium Outlets when they were shot by U.S. Army veteran Mauricio Garcia, 33, of Dallas, Texas. Armed with an AR-15 style assault weapon, the shooter was fatally shot by a police officer outside an H&M store at the mall.
Aishwarya and seven others were fatally shot. Shreyash and six others were injured and hospitalized.
On May 18, 2023, Aishwarya would have turned 28. Her parents were looking to fix her engagement by October 2023 and get her married in December 2023.
