William Arthur Busi, 69, of Port Orange, Volusia County, Florida, United States previously lived in Miami, Miami-Dade County, Florida. On July 18, 2021, the Port Orange Police Department arrested him.
Bail for Busi was set at $3,500 and he was charged with aggravated assault with intent to commit felony, improper exhibition of a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct. On July 28, 2021, Suzanne Marie Cass, 58, of Port Orange filed a lawsuit against him in Volusia, Volusia County.
On May 9, 2023, a Port Orange Police Department officer responded to a call from a smoke shop. A female worker reported that Busi was disrupting the business and threatening workers and she wanted him trespassed from the store.
Outside the building, Busi approached the officer, told the officer he was suing the Volusia County sheriff and asked whether or not it would be tax-free if he sued the Port Orange Police Department for $250,000. The officer said he did not know about that and informed Busi why he was there.
When Busi found out he was trespassed from the smoke shop, he started to become violent with the officer. The elderly man told the officer, “Come on, motherf—-r.”
“I got a black belt in karate and a black belt in judo,” Busi continued. “You’re gonna be in a world of hurt.”
Later, Busi threw a piece of lunch meat at the officer. The elderly man was arrested, booked into the Volusia County Jail in Daytona Beach, Volusia County and charged with battery on a law enforcement officer.
