The Miss West Virginia USA 2023 coronation night will be held at the Virginia Thomas Law Center for the Performing Arts of West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, Upshur County, West Virginia, United States on June 4, 2023. It is the 71st edition of the state-level beauty pageant that selects West Virginia’s candidate for Miss USA, which selects the Miss Universe candidate of the U.S.
Currently, West Virginia has 11 Miss USA placements including the first runner-up finishes of Ruth Parr in 1957 and Kelly Anderson in 1984. The most recent one was in 2022 when Krystian Leonard finished in the Top 16.
Representing Monongalia County, Leonard was crowned Miss West Virginia USA 2022 on June 5, 2022 at the Virginia Thomas Law Center for the Performing Arts of West Virginia Wesleyan College. The respective first, second, third and fourth runners-up Tamia Hardy of Berkeley County, Cassidy Meyers of Three Rivers Festival, Marleigh Ross of Huntington and Caylie Simmons of Cheat Lake.
