Who was Hillevi Rombin?
Anna Kerstin Hillevi Rombin Schine is the fourth Miss Universe and the first beauty queen from Sweden to hold the title. She was a national decathlon champion in the country before she became a beauty queen.
Born in Alfta, Ovanåker, Gavleborg County, Sweden to Lars Rombin and Anna Olsson Tappens Rombin, Hillevi grew up in Uppsala, Uppland, Sweden. Lars died in Uppsala on January 26, 1977 at age 71 and Anna died in Altfa on May 29, 1987 at age 84.
Hillevi was 5 years younger than her husband Gerard David Schine. They met in San Francisco, California, United States and have six children together.
