Miss Universe is one of the six grand slam beauty pageants for women. The others are Miss World, Miss International, Miss Earth, Miss Supranational and Miss Grand International.

Currently, the Miss Universe Organization is owned by JKN Legacy. Anne Jakkaphong Jakrajutatip of JKN Global Group and Raul Rocha of Legacy Holding Group USA own 50% each.

The organization has three headquarters which are in Samut Prakan, Thailand, in New York City, New York, United States and in Mexico City, Mexico. Olivia Quido and Mario Bucaro are vice presidents of the organization.
