Wylee Darzay Orr Jr., 27, of Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States is 5’10” tall. He weighs around 165 pounds.
From 2015 to 2020, Orr studied accounting and business management at Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland. On September 8, 2020, he registered to vote in Cuyahoga County.
On August 11, 2021, Orr allegedly shot Jamal Fitch several times in the head, body, arm and legs outside a condo complex on East 38th Street in Cleveland. At the time, the suspect had been on probation in Cuyahoga County for previous convictions on drug and weapons charges.
The gunshot wounds killed Fitch, a native of Lorain, Lorain County, Ohio. He was 29.
On August 25, 2022, Orr failed to report to his supervisor. On September 19, 2022, he was named the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force‘s Fugitive of the Week.
On July 20, 2023, Orr was arrested in Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA by the U.S. Marshals Southern Iowa Fugitive Task Force (SIFTF) with the assistance of the Iowa State Patrol, the City of Altoona Police Department and the Des Moines Metro Special Tactics and Response (STAR) Team. He was booked into the Polk County Jail in Des Moines.
The SIFTF’s mission is to locate and apprehend fugitives charged with crimes of violence and wanted on outstanding felony arrest warrants. Among its members are the U.S. Marshals Service, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office, the Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, the Ames Police Department, the Burlington Police Department, the Council Bluffs Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, 4th Judicial District Probation and Parole and 5th Judicial District Probation and Parole.
Orr awaits extradition back to Ohio. He is expected to appear in court in Cleveland.
