Madison Elizabeth Kvaltin, 25, of Manitoulin Island, Lake Huron, Ontario, Canada has been crowned Miss Universe Canada 2023. She is originally from Sudbury, Ontario.
On May 14, 2016, Kvaltin won Miss Northern Ontario 2016 in Sudbury. On July 24, 2016, she finished in the Top 20 at Miss Teenage Canada 2016 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
On August 21, 2016, Kvaltin ranked third at Top Model Search Canada 2016 and was crowned Miss Intercontinental Canada 2016. She was unplaced when she represented Canada at Miss Intercontinental 2016 at the Stein Studios in Colombo, Sri Lanka on October 16, 2016.
On October 3, 2021, Kvaltin competed against 39 other Miss World Canada 2021 candidates at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts in Richmond Hill, Ontario. She was unplaced.
On May 14, 2022, Kvaltin represented Sudbury at Miss Universe Canada 2022 and competed against 53 other candidates at the Meridian Arts Centre in Toronto, Ontario. She was runner-up to Amelia Tu and became Miss International Canada 2022.
On December 13, 2022, Kvaltin represented Canada at Miss International 2022 and competed against 65 other candidates at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan. She finished in the Top 8.
On August 19, 2023, Kvaltin represented Manitoulin Island at Miss Universe Canada 2023 and competed against 76 other candidates at the River Rock Casino in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. She won the title.
On November 18, 2023, Kvaltin will represent Canada at Miss Universe 2023 in San Salvador, El Salvador. Tu finished in the Top 16 when she represented Canada at Miss Universe 2022 in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States on January 14, 2023.
Currently, Canada has 20 Miss Universe placements including the coronations of Karen Baldwin in 1982 and Natalie Glebova in 2005. Glebova and Miss Universe Canada 2020 Nova Stevens attended the Miss Universe Canada 2023 coronation ceremony.
