Miss Universe Australia 2023 Moraya Wilson, 21, of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia is a high school sports coach, a university student and a professional model. She is 5’9″ tall.

Growing up, Wilson ran track and cross country. She used to compete internationally as a ski racer.
As a model, Wilson signed with Vivien’s Model Management in Melbourne in November 2018. In October 2019, she graduated from Caulfield Grammar School in Melbourne.
In May 2020, Wilson started working at Caulfield Grammar School as a sports coach across three disciplines namely athletics, cross country and snowsports. In August 2020, she entered RMIT University in Melbourne to pursue a bachelor’s degree in business marketing.
On March 1, 2023, Wilson was selected as one of the seven Miss Universe Australia 2023 finalists from Victoria. On September 1, 2023, she competed against 23 other Miss Universe Australia 2023 finalists at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins in Melbourne and won the title.
On November 18, 2023, Wilson will represent Australia at Miss Universe 2023 in San Salvador, El Salvador. She will compete against more than 80 other candidates including Guatemala’s Michelle Cohn, 28, a mother of two, the Netherlands’ Rikkie Valerie Kollé, 22, a transwoman, and the Philippines’ Michelle Dee, 28, a bisexual.

Runner-up to Wilson was Farida Singatoulina, 19, of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Brooklyn Metropolis, 21, of Perth, Western Australia, Australia, Natasha “Tash” Knox, 21, of Sydney and Breanna “Bree” Monck, 21, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
Singatoulina is a filmmaker, an actor and a model who graduated from Beijing Film Academy in Beijing, China with a bachelor’s degree in acting. She is of Russian and Chinese descent.
Currently, Australia has 21 Miss Universe placements including the coronation of Kerry Anne Wells in 1972 and Jennifer Hawkins in 2004. The most recent one was in the 2022 edition when Monique Riley finished in the Top 16.
