The Miss Universe Nepal 2023 coronation ceremony will be held at the Godavari Sunrise Convention Center in Lalitpur, Nepal on September 8, 2023. It is the fourth edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Nepal’s Miss Universe candidate.
On August 25, 2022, Sophiya Bhujel of Kathmandu was crowned Miss Universe Nepal 2022 at Hotel Yak & Yeti in Kathmandu, Nepal. Bipana Adhikari of Sydney, Australia was first runner-up while Ashma KC of Adelaide, Australia, Sefina Joshi of Kathmandu and Monalisha Parajuli of Udayapur were the respective second, third and fourth runners-up.
After Adhikari’s resignation, Ashma KC became the new runner-up while Joshi and Parajuli became the new second and third runners-up, respectively. The new fourth runners-up is Jasmine Khadka of Kathmandu, who originally finished in the Top 10.
Nagma Shrestha is the national director of Miss Universe Nepal. In 2017, she became the first ever Miss Universe candidate representing Nepal.
Currently, Nepal has one Miss Universe placement. Representing the Asian country, Manita Devkota finished in the Top 10 in 2018.
From 30 candidates, only 22 finalists are still on the running towards becoming Miss Universe Nepal 2023. If facial beauty is the only criterion, these will be my Top 5 candidates:
