Colby Ray Covington is an American professional mixed martial artist fighting out of Miami, Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. He previously lived in Iowa City, Iowa, USA and in different parts of Oregon, USA including Junction City, Corvallis, La Pine, Springfield and O’Brien.
Aside from Miami, Covington has lived in other parts of Florida including Fort Lauderdale and Coral Springs. While attending Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa, he won the U.S. national junior college wrestling title in the 165-pound category in 2007 and he was roommates with Jon Jones.
After the event, Covington moved to the University of Iowa in Iowa City. He later moved to Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon.
Covington was born in Clovis, California, USA to Bradley Ray “Brad” Covington and Noelle Grace Carley Covington.
Currently, Colby is signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, which is based in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. He fights in the welterweight division and he is a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
