Thomasville, Georgia’s Lindsay Shiver appears in Bahamas court with Faron Newbold Jr., Terrance Bethel

Lindsay Shirley Shiver, 36, of Thomasville, Thomas County, Georgia, United States briefly appeared before a magistrate court in the Bahamas with Abaco, Bahamas residents Faron Newbold Jr., 29, and Terrance Adrian Bethel, 28, on October 5, 2023. They are represented by Ian Cargill, K. Melvin Munroe, Cassie Bethel and Alphonso Lewis Jr.

Prosecutors revealed they have yet to complete the Voluntary Bill of Indictment. Because of this, the hearing was postponed until December 2023.

Shiver and her husband Robert Grayson Shiver, 37, celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary on March 6, 2023. They have three sons together and they own a house in the Bahamas.

On April 5, 2023, Robert filed for divorce upon finding out about Lindsay’s affair with Bethel. On April 6, 2023, she also filed for divorce and stated in her filing that she incurred debt beyond her means to pay and asked that Robert be made to pay.

On July 16, 2023, police were called after a dispute between Robert and Lindsay at their residence in Thomasville. She claimed he pushed her as they were packing to head to the Bahamas with their children, which he denied, and the officers left without making an arrest.

On the same day, Bahamian police searched the phone and social media app of Bethel, who was suspected of burglary, and discovered a plot crafted by him, Newbold and Lindsay to kill Robert. On July 21, 2023, Lindsay, Bethel and Newbold were arrested in Abaco and booked into the Fox Hill Prison in Nassau, New Providence, Bahamas.

On July 28, 2023, Lindsay, Bethel and Newbold appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley in Nassau. On August 1, 2023, Robert helped the three suspects get emergency bail.

On August 9, 2023, Bahamian Supreme Court justice Cheryl Grant-Thompson granted Lindsay bail of $100,000. She is required to wear a monitoring device and report to the Cable Beach Police Station in Nassau three times per week and prohibited from leaving her residence in the Bahamas between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. and being within 100 feet of Robert.
