The police department of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States recently conducted a prostitution operation in cooperation with the human trafficking unit of the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics. For two days, Oklahoma City Police Department officers posed as prostitutes undercover for the operation.
During the operation, the officers arrested 50 people. They also towed 48 vehicles with holds placed on them for nuisance abatement, recovered two firearms and confiscated a small amount of drugs.
The Oklahoma City Police Department runs stings like this because many people involved in prostitution are victims of human trafficking. The goal was to cut down on the numbers involving human trafficking.
