Jurden Brown Jr., 52, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States has been with the Oklahoma City Police Department for 20 years. He is a sergeant.
Brown served as a police community relations officer with the department’s Santa Fe Patrol Division. He was tasked with communicating with local organizations, businesses, churches and other groups.
For two days, Oklahoma City Police Department officers recently posed as prostitutes undercover for the operation. With the help of the human trafficking unit of the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, the officers confiscated a small amount of drugs, recovered two firearms, towed 48 vehicles with holds placed on them for nuisance abatement and arrested 50 people including Brown.
During the joint prostitution operation, Brown discussed payment for sexual acts with an undercover officer, according to Oklahoma City Police Department captain Valerie Littlejohn. He and the 49 other arrestees were booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center in Oklahoma City on a complaint of offering to engage in prostitution.
As on October 6, 2023, there was no indication that Brown presented prior concerns. However, an examination into his history will still be part of the investigation.
As the investigation develops, Brown’s employment status could change. After his arrest, he was placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation.
