1. He hails from Rockville, Montgomery County, Maryland.
2. He was 6 years older than Franklin Castro Ordonez of Gaithersburg, Montgomery County.
3. On January 6, 2021, he went to the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C., USA. He and other supporters of Donald Trump breached the building while a joint session of Congress was certifying the vote of the Electoral College and affirming Joe Biden‘s victory in the 2020 presidential election. During the riot, he assaulted a law enforcement officer and obstructed, impeded or interfered with a law enforcement officer.
4. In July 2021, he submitted an application for employment with the Montgomery County Police Department.
5. On January 31, 2022, he was hired as a Montgomery County Police Department officer. He was assigned to the Patrol Services Bureau.
6. At around 10:30 a.m. on July 22, 2023, he fired at Ordonez after Ordonez allegedly stabbed four people in the Unique Thrift Store on Veirs Mill Road in the Aspen Hill, Montgomery County. The Montgomery County Police Department placed him on administrative leave. Ordonez was pronounced dead at the scene.
7. The Maryland Attorney General’s Office confirmed on July 24, 2023 that it was him who fatally shot Ordonez and released on August 17, 2023 a seven-minute video of the shooting.
8. On September 15, 2023, he was indicted on seven charges namely civil disorder; assaulting; entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds; engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly conduct in a U.S. Capitol building; and act of physical violence in the U.S. Capitol grounds or buildings.
9. On October 19, 2023, he was arrested in Washington, D.C. That day, the Montgomery County Police Department announced he will be suspended without pay and the department is taking steps to fire him.
10. He 25 was years old when he was arrested on October 19, 2023. Represented by Terrell N. Roberts III, he awaits an initial court appearance.
