The Miss Universe 2023 preliminary competition will be held in San Salvador, El Salvador at 8:00 p.m. EST or 7:00 p.m. CST on November 15, 2023. The national costume competition will also be held there at 9:00 p.m. EST or 8:00 p.m. CST on November 16, 2023.
Live Bash will livestream both competitions. A ticket for each streaming event is $5.

This is the 72nd edition of Miss Universe. This is also the competition’s first edition accepting mothers and married women as candidates as long as they are 18-28 years old during the competition.
On October 26, 2022, JKN Global Group acquired the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) from Endeavor Group Holdings-owned IMG Worldwide at $14 million, making Anne Jakrajutatip the first transgender woman to own the organization. On January 14, 2023, R’Bonney Gabriel of the United States was crowned Miss Universe 2022 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.
A total of 85 women will compete for the Miss Universe 2023 crown. Maria Camila Avella Montañez, 28, of Colombia and Michelle Cohn, 28, of Guatemala will make history as the first mothers and married women to compete in Miss Universe.
Rikkie Valerie Kollé, 22, of the Netherlands and Marina Machete, 28, of Portugal will be the second and third transwomen to compete in Miss Universe. The first one was Angela Ponce, who represented Spain in 2018.
Pakistan will make its Miss Universe debut in this edition. Erica Robin, 24, will represent the country.
The Miss Universe 2023 coronation night will be held at the Gimnasio Nacional José Adolfo Pineda in San Salvador on November 18, 2023. For that show, audiences can check their local broadcast listings to find the correct viewing option.
