Nathaniel Navarro was found dead at Satsuma Park in Pasadena, Harris County, Texas, United States at 2:30 a.m. on November 2, 2023. He was 19.
Earlier that morning, Cruz Martinez, 18, allegedly shot Navarro while trying to rob him at the park. The alleged shooter was out on bond on charges of driving under the influence and unlawful possession of a firearm at the time.
After being shot, Navarro got into his car. He ended up crashing at the park.
Serenity Delgado, 17, allegedly helped Martinez drag Navarro’s body out of the car about 100 yards away on the other side of the park. Authorities have yet to confirm whether or not the three are residents of Pasadena.
Delgado and Martinez have been arrested. They were each charged with capital murder and tampering with evidence.
Martinez was booked into the Harris County Jail in Houston, Texas. On November 5, 2023, Martinez appeared in probable cause court.
A judge denied Martinez bond on the murder charge. The judge set a $50,000 bond for the tampering with evidence charge.
