“I can’t live without my sewing machine,” Brooke Bruk-Jackson, 21, of Harare, Zimbabwe stated. As a fashion designer, she enjoys sewing her own garments.
Bruk-Jackson is also a model and an esthetician. She is 6’0″ tall.
Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Bruk-Jackson attended Chisipite Senior School in Harare. She attained her honors in aesthetics, garment construction and design from the Beauty Therapy Institute in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa.
On September 16, 2023, Bruk-Jackson competed against 11 other finalists at Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2023 at the Harare Hippodrome in Braeside, Harare. She won the title.
On November 18, 2023, Bruk-Jackson will represent Zimbabwe at Miss Universe 2023 at the José Adolfo Pineda Arena in San Salvador, El Salvador. She will compete against 84 other candidates.
The oldest candidate is Yuliia Pavlikova, 30, of Bulgaria while the youngest ones are Lujane Yacoub, 19, of Bahrain, Maria Brechane, 19, of Brazil and Lilja Pétursdóttir, 19, of Iceland. John Legend will perform during the coronation ceremony, which will be broadcast by Telemundo and The Roku Channel.
Currently, Zimbabwe has one Miss Universe placement, which is Corrinne Crewe‘s Top 10 finish in 2000. Bruk-Jackson is the sixth beauty queen to represent the African country in the international beauty pageant currently owned by Jakkaphong Jakrajutatip, 44, of Thailand.
