Jessica Lawson, 36, of Saint Anthony, Fremont County, Idaho, United States is originally from Mesa, Arizona. In 2021, she was hired by Fremont County Joint School District #215.
Lawson was a teacher at South Fremont High School in St. Anthony. While employed by the school, she allegedly had sex with an underage boy and provided him with alcohol and marijuana.
At around 11:00 p.m. on November 5, 2023, Lawson picked up the boy and took her to her residence in St. Anthony. They allegedly had sex after she got drunk and he got high.
On the morning of November 6, 2023, the boy was driving Lawson’s car while she was in it as a passenger when a St. Anthony Police Department officer initiated a traffic stop on the car for having no visible tail lights. He told the officer she allowed her to drive the car because she was too drunk to drive.
The boy also admitted to having marijuana. The officer drove the boy home.
That morning, the boy told his parents what he and Lawson did in her house on November 5, 2023. The parents immediately called the officer.
Lawson was arrested and booked into the Madison County Jail in Rexburg, Madison County, Idaho. Her bond was set at $250,000.
