Mohammed Hamdan, 39, of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States owns Hook Fish and Chicken, a restaurant in McKees Rocks, Allegheny County. He was recently arrested.
At around 10:00 p.m. on November 18, 2023, a boy, 15, was caught on surveillance camera inside the restaurant taking the the plastic tip jar on the counter and turning toward the exit. At the time, his brother was waiting outside.
The camera also caught Hamdan taking his pistol from his waitband and firing at least three shots at the boy. After being shot, the wounded boy ran down the sidewalk.
Shortly after, the wounded boy’s mother called 911. The police officers who responded found the boy with multiple gunshot wounds.
Ambulance took the boy to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was wounded in his right bicep, right shoulder and right forearm.
On the morning of November 19, 2023, Hamdan was arrested and booked into the Allegheny County Jail in Pittsburgh. He is waiting for his preliminary arraignment.
