Angela Bragg of Waterville, Kennebec County, Maine, United States has died. She was 52.

Bragg worked at Damon’s Beverage, a liquor store on Jefferson Street in Waterville. So did Spridal Hubiak, 20, of Waterville.

Hubiak is accused of murdering Bragg. At around 4:34 a.m. on December 28, 2023, Waterville Police Department officers found her body inside Damon’s Beverage.

Bragg’s body was sent to the office of the chief medical examiner in Augusta, Kennebec County. The manner of death was ruled a homicide and the cause of death was sharp force injury.

After allegedly killing Bragg, Hubiak fled Maine in a black 2010 Ford Taurus. He was later found sleeping in a parking lot in Flippin, Marion County, Arkansas, USA.

At around 12:58 a.m. on December 31, 2023, the Maine State Police was notified that the Flippin Police Department was in contact with Hubiak. Police officers chased him after he fled in the black 2010 Ford Taurus.

The chase ended in Boone County, Arkansas where the spike mats put out by the Arkansas State Police disabled Hubiak’s car. He was shot when he got out of his car with a rifle.

A helicopter flew Hubiak to Northwest Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, Boone County. He was later transferred to a hospital in Springfield, Greene County, Missouri, USA.

While Hubiak is hospitalized, he is in the custody of the Greene County Sheriff’s Office in Missouri. He is receiving treatment and is expected to survive.
