Dwayne Waden Sr., 57, of High Point, North Carolina, United States is a pastor of Elevated Life International Ministries in High Point. He also works as a semitruck driver.
Waden is an alumnus of Eastern High School in Washington, D.C., USA. He also went to Shaw University Divinity School in Raleigh, North Carolina.
“Everyone doesn’t deserve access to you, because they are not deserving of the anointing you release in other’s lives,” Waden wrote on Facebook on November 13, 2023. “Stop using your oil on people who don’t respect what you bring to the table, and you want be so frustrated with life itself.”
On December 28, 2023, Waden’s wife complained to him that her co-workers were disrespecting her so that day, he went to her workplace. She was training to be a McDonald’s manager in High Point.
According to a police report, Waden pushed a male cook’s head toward the deep fryer and punched the cook in the face. Several employees had to pull the pastor off the cook as shown in a surveillance video.
The cook suffered scratches on his neck and a large contusion to the forehead and right eye. A family member drove him to the hospital.
After being arrested by High Point Police Department officers on charges of assault and battery, Waden was released on a $1,000 bond. His wife is no longer with McDonald’s.
On January 9, 2024, the High Point Police Department will hold an event called Coffee With a Cop at a McDonald’s restaurant in High Point. It is the same restaurant where Waden allegedly attacked a cook.
