Jennifer Crumbley, 45, of Oxford, Michigan, United States met Brian Meloche in high school. She worked in marketing for a real estate company in Clarkston, Michigan.
Crumbley is the second wife of James Robert Crumbley, 47. In 2006, she gave birth to their son Ethan Crumbley. Oxford High School in Oxford.
Meloche is a firefighter-chief and a married man. He had an affair with Jennifer while she was married to James.
On November 30, 2021, Ethan opened fire inside Oxford High School in Oxford. Four students namely Madisyn Baldwin, 17, Justin Shilling, 17, Tate Myre, 16, and Hana St. Juliana, 14, were killed and seven other students and one female teacher, then 47, were injured.
Jennifer is being charged with involuntary manslaughter in the shooting. Here are some of the text messages she sent Meloche after the shooting:

The trial of involuntary manslaughter against Jennifer started on January 26, 2024 and ended on February 2, 2024. Meloche testified in her trial on January 31, 2024.
When Jennifer took the stand for the first time n February 1, 2024, she testified about her affair with Meloche. According to her, they would usually see each other once a week when they had an affair for six months in 2021.
Neither James nor Ethan knew about the affair, Jennifer said. She claimed that Ethan was not affected by the affair.
But on February 2, 2024, prosecutors suggested in court that Jennifer and Meloche held sex parties at hotels while she ignored Ethan’s pleas for mental health treatment. The prosecutors accused Jennifer and Meloche of finding strangers on the Adult Friend Finder and meeting them at a hotel after work.
