Jordan Anthony Fautz, 29, of Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States is an alumnus of the University of Louisville in Louisville. In June 2014, he joined the Archdiocese of Louisville in Louisville.
For nine years, Fautz was member of the maintenance staff at St. Stephen Martyr Parish in Louisville. He worked part-time as a religion teacher of 7th and 8th graders at St. Stephen Martyr Catholic School in Louisville.
While employed there, Fautz allegedly photoshopped pictures of faces of students onto sexual pictures and videos of other underage girls and then shared them online. The school’s logo was used in some of the photos, which were taken from yearbooks, while some of the photos also used the names of the victims, who were between the ages of 8 to 17.
Between December 2023 and January 2024, Fautz allegedly distributed child sexual abuse materials to a law enforcement officer working online undercover. The teacher allegedly sent almost 200 images of mostly teen girls to the agent.
On February 2, 2024, Fautz was arrested. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating the case.
Fautz was charged with distributing obscene visual representations of child sexual abuse and distributing child pornography. If convicted, he faces a mandatory minimum sentence of a $250,000 fine, five years in prison, at least five years of supervised release and maximum potential penalties of 40 years in prison.
