Grace Jineah Chua Lumage, 23, is competing for the right to represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico. Hailing from Barangay Nama, Pozorrubio, Pangasinan, Philippines, she is a model currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
On March 11, 2023, Lumage competed against 24 other Miss Hundred Islands 2023 candidates at the Lucap Wharf in Alaminos City, Pangasinan. She finished in the Top 10.
On January 4, 2024, Lumage competed against 15 other Mutya ng Pozorubbio 2024 candidates at the Don Jose Magno Sports and Civic Center in Pozorrubio. She was third runner-up to Lyha Laylo.
Pangasinan is a coastal province founded on April 5, 1580. It is a major producer of salt in the Philippines.
The venue and date of the coronation ceremony of Miss Universe Philippines 2024 have yet to be announced. Including Lumage, a total of 55 women are vying for the title.
Representing Pangasinan, Lumage was officially introduced along with her fellow candidates on February 18, 2024 at the Grand Ballroom of Hilton Manila in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Hosted by Miss Universe 2021 top 5 finalist Beatrice Luigi Gomez, 28, and Ralph de Leon, 26, the event was attended by Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up Shamcey Supsup-Lee, 35, Miss Universe 2012 first runner-up Janine Tugonon, 34, Miss Supranational 2023 first runner-up Pauline Amelinckx, 28, and Miss Universe 2023 top 10 finalist Michelle Dee, 28.
Since 2020, Supsup-Lee has been the national director of Miss Universe Philippines. Currently, the Philippines has 27 Miss Universe placements including the coronations of Gloria Diaz in 1969, Margie Moran in 1973, Pia Wurtzbach in 2015 and Catriona Gray in 2018.
