Stephanie Faye T. Gerona, 32, of Quirino, Philippines is competing for the right to represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico. She is an entrepreneur, a model and a scuba diver and is Melchor Gerona and Marivic Gerona‘s only daughter. .
Stephanie represented Marilao, Bulacan at Miss Philippines Earth 2015 but withdrew from the competition before the coronation night due to health reasons. She is originally from Cabarroguis, Quirino and is currently based in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
Quirino is a landlocked province founded on June 18, 1966. It was named after the Philippines’ sixth president Elpidio Quirino.
The venue and date of the coronation ceremony of Miss Universe Philippines 2024 have yet to be announced. Including Stephanie, a total of 55 women are vying for the title.
Wearing the Miss Universe Quirino 2024 sash, Stephanie was officially introduced along with her fellow candidates on February 18, 2024 at the Grand Ballroom of Hilton Manila in Pasay City, Metro Manila. Hosted by Miss Universe 2021 top 5 finalist Beatrice Luigi Gomez, 28, and Ralph de Leon, 26, the event was attended by Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up Shamcey Supsup-Lee, 35, Miss Universe 2012 first runner-up Janine Tugonon, 34, Miss Supranational 2023 first runner-up Pauline Amelinckx, 28, and Miss Universe 2023 top 10 finalist Michelle Dee, 28.
Since 2020, Supsup-Lee has been the national director of Miss Universe Philippines. Currently, the Philippines has 27 Miss Universe placements including the coronations of Gloria Diaz in 1969, Margie Moran in 1973, Pia Wurtzbach in 2015 and Catriona Gray in 2018.
