Alexie Mae Caimoso Brooks is a Filipino model and beauty queen from Leon, Iloilo, Philippines. She was born in Metro Manila, Philippines to a black American father and a Filipino mother, who met in Lebanon.
While attending Iloilo National High School in Iloilo City, Brooks was a student athlete scholar. She competed in track-and-field, high jump, long jump, heptathlon and basketball and later trained under the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association (PATAFA).
Growing up, Brooks helped her maternal grandmother sell vegetables at the Iloilo Terminal Market in Iloilo City, Philippines. The former was singlehandedly raised by the latter in Balud, Leon.
After watching the Philippines’ Venus Raj win as Miss Universe 2010 fourth runner-up on August 23, 2010, Brooks started aspiring to become a beauty queen. Raj was born in Doha, Qatar to an Indian-American father and a Filipino mother.
